Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades, Lingayen

PSAT Batch of 1979 adopted 2 classrooms as part of their
Fundraising Project. The batch got together last summer
and they organized a plan to give something back to their beloved alma mater.

Their batch '79 president gathered most of its members and visited PSAT and
they've seen the deterioration
of the old buildings. As you can see on the following pictures, the roofs,
walls, ceilings
are nearly collapsing. The students and the administration begged for help.

The school's principal asked for the batch to repair one room at a time. The
school have 25 rooms altogether.
They agreed to start repairing 2 classrooms at a time. Their batch's Engineer,
Mr. Fernando Velasco
inspected the damage and what needs to be repaired.

They managed to save some of the buildings frames and parts of the roofs.
Unfortunately, the rooms were gutted down.

Most of the batch members chipped in. Those who are based in the U.S. and some
places like Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia,
Bunei donated money. Those who are back home like the current LTO chief in
Lingayen, Ms. Jovie Fronda-Dion
donated large amount of money as well as their batch's president, Menandro
Molano,
who is the owner of M&M Bagoong in Pangapisan North in Lingayen.

Members based in Manila like Major Maximo Aquino of Phillipine Army, Businessman
Porferio Vinluan, Ms. Christine
Baraquio-Saez, also donated money. Members from nearby barrios like Engr.
Fernando Velasco, Police Officer
Rodrigo Vinluan, BIR Officer Chris Ballesteros, Joycelyn Magsanoc, Cesar Cruz,
Zieta Limliman,
Joel Laureta and their Secretary and Treasurer Ms. Mariz Sison, donated money
and their PRECIOUS time to make this project a reality.
